Dawn's Cranberry Sauce
1.
1 - 12oz packaged of fresh cranberries
¾ - 1 cup quality red wine
1 cup sugar
¼ teaspoon nutmeg, cinnamon or cloves (optional)
2.
Combine all ingredients in a medium sized saucepan and cook over medium heat.
3.
Stir until cranberries begin to pop and soften (10-15 minutes).
4.
Remove from heat and allow to cool in serving bowl before refrigerating overnight.
5.
If whole berries aren’t your thing, use a mini food processor to make a smoother sauce.
6.
Careful not to over blend so that your sauce will set.
